Solva Memorial Hall is a deceptively spacious building owned by the community and run by a Management Committee.
with it's sheltered harbour, sandy beaches, coastal walks, colourful shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants.
Situated within the Pembrokeshire National Park the village is steeped in history. Today it is a very popular tourist destination. Solva has something for everyone and the Solva Memorial Hall, set in the middle of the upper half of the village, hosts a variety of social, theatrical and community events.
Lower Solva has three pubs, cafes, restaurants, art galleries, an antique shop, gift shop and pottery shop. In Upper Solva we have one pub, a general convenience store and post office and two suppliers of locally caught lobster, crabs and fish.
The village has lots going on all year round, from scarecrow trails, raft races, art exhibitions, duck races, pub quizes, weekly coffee mornings, bingo, zumba, pilates, yoga, WI meetings, regattas, fetes, football games, theatre, monthly cinema and lots more. Solva really is a very friendly, busy, vibrant place with lots of things going on, lovely places to eat, drink and have a wonderful time. And at the heart of the village is Solva Memorial Hall, a local venue for everyone to enjoy.
No party too big or too small. weddings, birthdays, anniversarys, you name it and we have hosted it. Some age restrictions apply.
The hall has hosted professional companies to local amatuer dramatics. We have a lighting board and sound system.
We are a fantastic venue for art exhibitions and charge very reasonable rates.
We have hosted many music nights from folk, celtic, jazz and even pop rock!
